You will help expand the data science and analytics capabilities at heartbeat. You will use your scientific and technical approach to create value for medical professionals and help them to make better medical statements through data.  

Your tasks include

  • Implementing data science pipelines, building data models and analytical  processes, data visualization, reporting and exploration tools 
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining and visualization to see  beyond the numbers and extract salient information to drive actionable insights
  • Effectively communicate the results on collected data to non-technical users
  • Perform data analysis for projects with pharmaceutical stakeholders
  • Be the subject matter expert and guide business users and medical professionals  in existing studies and their evaluation  

YOUR PROFILE

  • PhD, MS or BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. computer science,  mathematics, statistics) or related field AND/OR
  • At least 3 years of proven practical work as a Data Scientist 
  • Analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods and applied ML/DL  
  • Experience in extracting, processing and analyzing large amounts of data
  • Experience in Python, SQL, R, and other languages 
  • Initial experience working with medical data 
  • Initial experience in influencing decision-making through data-centric  presentations 
  • Fluent in English and moderate German knowledge (at least B1)
  • Strong analytical conceptual and organizational skills 
  • High level of communication and presentation skills 
  • High motivation to work in interdisciplinary team with flat hierarchy
